Apple Users The Watch has been plagued with an annoying bug since the release of watchOS 10 that has caused many people to have difficulty using the Weather app. Apple acknowledged the problem last month and shared some workarounds with users, but they weren't a permanent solution. The company now says the bug is finally fixed in watchOS 10.1.
Apple Watch Weather app error
After publicly releasing watchOS 10.1 on Wednesday, Apple updated support web page to confirm that the update fixes the bug affecting the Weather app. In particular, complications may not display any data if they are set to the user's current location rather than a specific city.
Previously, affected users were advised to manually select a city or turn off location services for the Weather app to prevent complications earned. Apple now recommends that affected users install watchOS 10.1 on their Apple Watch.
- Connect your watch to Wi-Fi.
- On your watch, open the Settings app. .
- Click “General” > Software update.
- Click Install if a software update is available, then follow the on-screen instructions.
If the error persists after updating, the company suggests that users perform reset. Access your location for the Weather app by going to your location services settings. Remove location access from the Weather app, and then turn it back on. If none of these options work for you, the company recommends resetting all location and privacy settings.
- On your iPhone, open the Settings app, then tap General > Transfer or restart your iPhone.
- Tap Reset > Reset location & Privacy.
- If prompted, enter your password and reset.
- Check if the issue is resolved.

watchOS 10.1 supports the double-tap gesture for Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. This feature was previously announced announced last month but was not available until now. When enabled, users can interact with Apple Watch without touching the display by simply double-tapping with their fingers.
The update also adds NameDrop to Apple Watch. so users can share their contact information with others by simply holding Watch next to another Apple Watch or iPhone.
The update is now available for Apple Watch Series 4 and later.
