Apple's most expensive iPhone has become a little more expensive, but not due to a price change, as in the iPhone line 15 Pro Max abandoned the 128 GB model.
The iPhone 14 Pro starts at $1,099 for the 128GB variant. Apple has removed this option from the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
This means the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at 256GB of storage and costs $1,199. Buyers opting for the iPhone 15 Pro can still get 128GB of storage for $999.
It is unclear why Apple made this change. At launch, the company will increase the average selling price of its most popular and most expensive device.
There is also a possibility that Apple has data that shows 128GB is not a popular option for consumers. With ProRAW images and ProRES videos, 128GB fills up incredibly quickly.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max will go on pre-order on September 15th. The first deliveries and arrival in stores will begin on September 22.
