Amazon Alexa assistant is getting updated capabilities in new Echo devices that include smart glasses called Echo Frames, an updated Echo Show 8 with display, and new Fire TV devices for audio and video.
On Wednesday, during a hardware event, Amazon unveiled its latest line of smart home devices, including the Echo Show 8, wearable Echo Frames that bring Alexa smart assistant to a person's face, and Fire TV products. Each Alexa device also features new generative AI capabilities as Amazon strives to remain competitive in the AI sector.

Amazon introduced an updated version of Alexa based on generative technology AI. It is based on a large new language model that is specifically designed and fine-tuned for voice interaction and opens up new possibilities for interaction, including:
- Gaze Mode: A tool for people with speech or mobility disabilities to control what Alexa does with their eye movements.
- Call Transfer: Overcoming language barriers with real-time translation during Alexa audio and conversations. video calls.

The all-new collection of Echo Frames and Carrera Smart Glasses combines fashion with Alexa technology, offering a stylish way to carry Alexa with you on the go. The glasses have premium features including music playback, Alexa help finding lost glasses, and multiple lens options.
Prices for Echo Frames start at $269.99, and people can sign up to be notified when they launch.
Echo Show 8
The updated Echo Show 8 promises an improved video calling experience with centered camera and technology minimizing noise. The device also presents adaptive content that changes the home screen display based on a person's proximity to the device.
It includes specially developed audio processing technology to provide a wider, more immersive soundscape. Combined with room adaptation technology, it can detect the acoustic properties of a room and adjust playback to achieve the best sound quality.
In addition, the built-in smart home hub provides centralized control of all devices. It will be available for pre-order soon for $149.99 and will begin shipping in October 2023.

eero Max 7 marks Amazon's entry into mesh Wi-Fi 7, becoming the fastest and most powerful eero to date.
