With Apple officially exiting the leather cases and accessories market, third parties remain the only option for those who prefer to stick with the material. I tested the Modern Leather Case and Folio on my iPhone 15 Pro and liked them. I'll also talk about the Nomad Rugged Case as a leather-free option for those who don't like Apple's FineWoven or silicone cases.

Last week I used Nomad's new Modern Leather Case, Folio and Rugged Case with my iPhone 15 Pro. I'll start with the modern leather case.
It feels fantastic in the hand. Super soft leather out of the box that flows seamlessly into the TPU frame. The edge has a concave tablet shape that is comfortable for fingertips to grip and ergonomically.
The modern leather case is slim but has 8-foot drop protection. Additionally, the edge around the camera system is raised enough to keep all lenses secure when it's laying down.
As you can see above and below, Nomad has done an amazing job with the anodized aluminum. buttons. And unlike some, it's a dedicated action button rather than a cutout.
The aluminum side button is knurled, making it easy to feel and find.
I discovered , that I prefer a TPU frame/bumper over a full leather build as the edges show the most wear. For example, here's my Apple leather case from last year:
The Nomad's design means it should age much better than ^.
Another small detail that Nomad nailed is the large cutout for the USB-C port, which means almost any cable will fit. Plus, you have dual strap attachment points for more flexibility.
The interior is made of a velvety soft suede-like material that feels gentle against the glass back of your iPhone.
I also appreciate that the edge of the TPU case frame wraps around the screen enough to protect it, but still leaves plenty of room if you want to install a screen protector.
For those who want more storage space for their wallet and To protect your screen, the Nomad Modern Folio offers three dedicated card slots as well as a cash pocket.
A nice part of the Folio is the removable magnetic clasp, which provides extra security or a thinner case depending on your preference.
Durable Nomad Case
For those who prefer to go leather-free but don't Impressed with Apple's new FineWoven cases, the Nomad Rugged Case is a great choice.
It has a similar design to a modern leather case, but is slightly thicker thanks to the TPU construction and polycarbonate. which offers 15-foot drop protection.
You still get fantastic anodized aluminum buttons and features like a large cutout for the USB-C port and dual lanyard anchors.
