3.5/5 Buy in Jsaux

The Jsaux Omnicase 2 and 2 Pro offer a functional USB-C hub, as well as an adapter and SD card storage, but the build quality could be a little better.

USB-C hubs C steels are extremely useful for both work and play. They can enhance the capabilities of your MacBook, Nintendo Switch or iPad, increasing performance and improving gaming settings.

The ability to charge your device, connect a keyboard and mouse, and import information via USB drives and SD cards shows the convenience that a USB-C hub can offer.

Jsaux primarily sells USB hubs and accessories for the Steam Deck. Designed for remote workers, students, and content creators, the Omnicase 2 and 2 Pro improve on their predecessors with more ports and more storage.

The regular Omnicase 2 is a 10-in-1 hub, while the Pro version is 12-in-1 with an additional HDMI port, a display port, and a USB-C 3.0 port. With so many ports, it's clear that Omnicase 2 is designed primarily for productivity.

Omnicase 2 &amp ; 2 Pro – Usage and Performance

Both hubs are relatively compact for the number of ports they provide, and can be carried in your pocket if necessary. However, we recommend storing the Omnicase 2 in a bag, as if dropped, the magnetic compartment may break and your adapters and cards may fall apart.

A quick drop test confirms this, and a few knocks on the case reveal that the Omnicase 2 is a bit hollow inside and mostly plastic, so we recommend keeping it safe while in transit.

However, this is a portable set of products considering that you can fit so many things in this space.

Both Omnicases handle heat well, even though both models have plenty of ports. This is especially important since users don't want the SD and TF cards inside to get damaged.

A notable detail is that port descriptions are provided at the bottom of the hub, which can help differentiate the charging port from the USB-C port intended for the host device.

Descriptions are at the bottom of Omnicase 2 Pro.

The HDMI and DisplayPort ports work well, and the Pro has the added potential of mirroring your MacOS device to other monitors or projectors. Another benefit of the Pro is the additional USB-C port, which we used a lot on our keyboard during our review.

Even in the regular version, the adapters included with the Omnicase 2 can help convert your devices from USB-C to USB-A or micro-USB. The 90 degree adapter is also very useful for making the most of your desk space.

The Ethernet port provides decent speeds and does what it should.
