No new iPads until next year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests

Hours before Apple is set to unveil the new iPhone 15 and Apple Watch Series 9 lineup, trusted Apple analyst Ming- Chi Kuo tweeted that Apple is unlikely to release new iPads until 2024.

Last week, Kuo said that new MacBooks won't arrive until next year. With the possible exception of an iMac refresh, it looks like Apple won't be announcing many new hardware products (if any) until the end of the year, so today's Wonderlust event could be just that.

We already expected the iPad Pro update to come out no earlier than 2024. But until recently, it seemed like Apple was planning an October event to launch the first round of Apple Silicon Mac M3s and iPad Airs with improved specs.

But both Kuo and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman have since reported that the October the event is most likely not discussed. This is primarily due to the fact that the debut of new Mac computers is no longer expected in the fall of 2023, but will be pushed back to the spring of next year.

Gurman reported that an update to the iPad Air is still in development, which was announced via a press release. But Kuo's latest comment even calls this timing into question.
