Apple Fitness+ has a new Weekly Workout Streak reward that encourages users to complete at least one workout every week.
The new weekly workout streak was first seen in iOS 16 betas back in July, but has now been officially announced. The new reward, introduced in an Apple Fitness+ email, is a soft promotion.
“Get rewarded with the Fitness+ Weekly Workout Series by doing at least one Fitness+ workout per week,” says Apple, “then see how long you can keep going.”
In iOS 16, there are more fitness-specific rewards. However, there are no conditions for this award as to what kind of workout, what duration, or any frequency above once a week.
This is all part of a new initiative to keep more people active with Apple Fitness+, which includes the ability to use the service without an Apple Watch.
