In 2022, “iPhone 14” was the eighth most searched term in the world on Google, behind other queries such as Wordle, the World Cup, Ukraine, and the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The revelation was made in Google's annual Year in Search, which shows the most popular searches in a variety of categories including news, people, movies and more. “iPhone 14” made it to the top 10 search terms, and according to Google Trends, searches for this term logically increased in September when the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro.
More specifically, “Dynamic Island” was one of the most popular searches after “iPhone 14”, despite being only available on higher -end iPhone 14 Pro. Other high-ranking search terms included Deep Purple, “iPhone 14 pre-order” and “iPhone 14 price”.
