At Apple's US online store, the estimated delivery time for devices currently fluctuates around six weeks, with shipping for all ‌ iPhone 14 Pro‌ the models are now only available from December 27, making them unavailable to many potential customers buying gifts before Christmas.

The delays confirm analysts' expectations that the Apple ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ the models will lag behind earlier shipping estimates by a year due to the closure of Foxconn's main China plant where the devices are assembled. a previous estimate of 85 million phones due to strict COVID-19 restrictions imposed at the Zhengzhou factory in recent weeks, according to investment firm Morgan Stanley (via Bloomberg).

“14 Pro /Pro Max's standby time recently extended to four to five weeks compared to two to four weeks a month ago, meaning demand remains solid even with supply shortfalls,” the analysts wrote in a note.

Looking ahead, Morgan Stanley forecasts higher-than-usual production in the first few months of 2023 to offset pent-up demand. Meanwhile, work at the Zhengzhou plant has already resumed, with workers brought to the plant over the weekend as Foxconn tries to catch up.
