Not only Spotify has a year-end review function — Apple Music too! Here's how to get an Apple Music Replay playlist today.
Spotify has a unique feature called Spotify Wrapped that shows you your top artists, songs, and genres of the year. It's a trendy feature that gets released all over social media at the end of every year, but Apple Music fans shouldn't miss it. In fact, the Replay 2023 playlist has been available since January.
Apple Music Replay isn't as deep as Spotify Wrapped, but it does offer interesting stats and curated playlists. Statistics include the number of hours of music listened to for the entire year, the number of artists listened to, and the top artists with the number of hours listened to each.
The 2023 playlist should already appear at the bottom of the user's Listen Now page if they have previously added repeat playlists to their library. However, visiting the Replay website can provide even more data.
Here's how to get your Apple Music Replay stats and playlist:
- Go to music.apple.com/replay on your desktop browser.
- Sign in to your Apple Music account.
- Take a screenshot of your stats to share.
- Scroll down to see the special playlist.
Click the link above. will open the Music app on iOS/iPadOS devices. While this will give you the playlist you want, you won't see yearly metrics here. Be sure to visit the Replay website entirely through your desktop browser.
A special playlist is created every year, starting a few weeks after the new year, and then automatically updated every week until the end of the year. These playlists are created automatically for each year of your Apple Music subscription — back in 2015 when the service was launched.
The Apple Music Replay playlist will display top 100 songs based on what you've listened to the most. Plus, since there's a playlist for each year, you'll be able to see how your music taste has changed over time.
Visit the Apple Music Replay website anytime for updated stats and playlists. The Replay 2023 playlist is available now and will be updated with new songs every Sunday until the end of the year. Detailed statistics should show the number of songs and the number of artists already listened to, with milestones such as 1000 songs listened to.
