Last year we moved into a house that we built from scratch. One of the differences from my previous home was the type of heating. Instead of a heat pump, we switched to natural gas. This is my second time using gas heating and one thing I forgot was how dry it was. Gas heating is certainly much warmer now; especially when it gets really cold I just prefer gas heating. If I were to design a HomeKit-enabled humidifier, it would be a fairly simple product.
- It would look elegant.
- It will support Thread.
- This will allow you to add essential oils for a nice scent (I don't believe in the health benefits).
- It will include some fun lighting options.
- It should have a large water tank.
Airversa completely knocked it out of the park here. It checks all the boxes for what I want in a HomeKit humidifier. It checks all the boxes for what I would build if I were designing it too. The Airversa team has assembled a great team. I'm also a big fan of the Airversa air purifier, so it's no surprise that I like this product too.
Humelle Humidifier Unboxing and Installation
As always with the best HomeKit products, I can go from unboxing to setting up automations in less than ten minutes. In fact, it comes assembled. The only thing you need to do is remove the cleaning brush from the bottom of the tank. You can then add water (using the threaded hole at the bottom), reattach the water tank and plug it. The Airversa humidifier has a HomeKit QR code on the back of the product as well as in the instruction manual. I really appreciate it when companies include multiple copies of the installation code. I always recommend using an app like HomePass to back up your codes, though – especially for products that use water.
Everyday use
However, the Humelle humidifier is not just a humidifier. It also includes several HomeKit sensors. It includes a nice light, a temperature sensor, as well as a dehumidifier mode.
Sleekpoint app
The Sleekpoint app, while not required, is recommended for all Airversa products. Even if you don't want to configure some advanced features, it is necessary to update the firmware. I had to apply it to my Humelle humidifier the first time I opened the app. Once you have the app, you can create different scenes for the built-in light, check flow settings, enable SenseBoost (runs a low-level fan to improve sensor accuracy), and create a more detailed schedule than HomeKit allows. . Like I said, it's not necessary, but it might be worth downloading just to apply firmware updates.
Summing up the Humelle Humidifier
Overall, I can't find anything I don't like about this product. Its large 5.5 liter water tank is enough for a bedroom. It can easily run all night, which is ideal for dry winter nights. I love the lighting options (especially the fog sync) for kids' bedrooms as a night light. Thread support also shows a strong reliability factor. Thanks to its wide range of features, the Humella humidifier is now my top choice among HomeKit humidifiers. It can be purchased on Amazon.
