The first pre-orders for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro have already begun shipping to early customers. As always, this doesn't mean your iPhone 15 will arrive before the September 22 release date. However, this means that you can track your pre-order as it goes around the world.
How to check if your iPhone 15 pre-order has shipped
If you check the status of your order on Apple's website, you'll likely see that your iPhone 15 is still “in preparation” for dispatch.” This is because Apple waits until the official release date of the new iPhone approaches to update the delivery status on its end, even if the actual package is now in the hands of its delivery partner.
But as anyone who's previously pre-ordered an iPhone probably knows, there's a workaround. If you go to the UPS website, you can track the progress of your order and watch it reach your state. Yes, even if Apple still wants you to think your iPhone 15 is “ready to ship.”
The best way to do this is to sign up for the UPS My Choice platform. This will automatically show you all packages arriving at your address, including your new iPhone 15. Alternatively, you can use the Track by Reference Number feature on the UPS website.
The reference number is most likely the phone number included in your Apple order, or your order number without the last two digits. However, UPS recently made changes to the Track by Reference Number feature “to improve security.” This means your best bet is to sign up for My Choice instead.
Once you locate your iPhone 15 in the UPS system, you'll be able to track its journey around the world and eventually reach your doorstep on Friday, September 22nd. In my case, that's two iPhone 15s. The pre-orders I placed have shipped and are already on their way to my home with estimated launch day delivery.

However, not all iPhones have been transferred to UPS yet, so be sure to check back during the week if you still can't find yours.
