Here's how much faster T-Mobile is than Verizon and AT&T, says latest study

Ookla released its Q3 2023 US mobile internet report, and T-Mobile retained its crown for fastest speeds loading and unloading. , minimal latency, better consistency and more. Here's how much faster T-Mobile is than Verizon and AT&T, according to a new report.

T-Mobile continues to outperform its competitors in the cellular business. service with average download speeds more than 2 times faster than Verizon and AT&T.

Impressively, Uncarrier also outperformed all other metrics measured by Ookla.

Mobile speeds in the United States in the third quarter of 2023

The average download speed for T-Mobile in the third quarter of 2023 was 163.59 Mbps. Verizon and AT&T had more than twice the median download speeds, at 75.68 and 72.64 Mbps, respectively.

In terms of average download speeds, the major carriers in the US were within 4 Mbps, with T-Mobile leading the way with 11.31 Mbps.

In terms of latency, T-Mobile just beat Out Verizon and AT& ;T with 53 ms:

Quite impressive results ! If they could keep customer data confidential, I would probably switch. In fact, regular data breaches are completely disqualifying.

For consistency, T-Mobile scored 85.2%. Here's how Ookla describes the metric: “By measuring each carrier's performance consistency, we found that T-Mobile had the highest consistency in the US in Q3 2023, with 85.2% of results showing at least 5 Mbps download and upload speeds 1 Mbit/s. . Verizon Wireless and AT&T are next with 80.8% and 78.4%, respectively.”

And in terms of average 5G download speeds, T-Mobile is also significantly ahead of Verizon and AT&T with a speed of 221.57 Mbps :

Notably, T-Mobile also beat Verizon and AT&T in all other 5G metrics, including lowest latency, best consistency, and best video performance.
