Under pressure to keep up with iPhone production, top Apple maker Foxconn is offering bonuses of around $1,672 to workers who return to the factory.

Foxconn regularly offers bonuses by competing with competitors for workers around its factories. He also regularly increases and reduces the staff in accordance with the requirements of the production.

However, the company is currently facing a combination of lockdowns in China and unrest from factory workers over wages and working conditions. After paying a few rioters to leave the company, she now ramps up bonuses in an attempt to get back to full production.

According to the South China Morning Post, the new bonuses are aimed at what Foxconn is reportedly calling “returning geese” recruitment. That is, the bonuses are for the return of employees who left Foxcon between October 1, 2022 and November 10, 2022.

At that point, Foxconn lost tens of thousands of employees as they fled due to the COVID quarantine. and bad conditions. The new bonuses come from Foxconn's integrated digital products business group, which is directly responsible for iPhone production.

If employees who leave within these deadlines not only return, but also stay for two months, they can receive bonuses of up to 12,000 yuan ($1,672).

Foxconn managed to get around the lockdown and staff shortages by moving part of the iPhone production to India.
