Sound settings are the most basic camera settings. It allows you to turn the microphone on and off if you want audio to be recorded while the camera is recording video and if the speaker volume is set.

Notifications can be turned on or off based on detected sounds, such as people, pets, crying, or any movements or sounds. Each category can be configured individually. You can also decide how you want notifications to appear to you — if it is text only, the text first and then the thumbnail, or both are delivered at the same time.

One of the unique camera features from its own app is Pet Command. This allows you to record a command and it will be automatically played back from the camera when an animal is detected in a specified activity zone.

This feature is useful when you are not at home and do not want your dog to lie on the sofa. The C120 will detect your dog jumping on the sofa and automatically play a recording of you saying “Get Out” — or any other command you specify — when this happens.

However, this feature is not available if you connect the camera to the Home app. You can also share the camera with friends and family who have the Eufy Security app installed on their devices.

If you don't need these extra features or you don't need an additional app taking up space on your device , you can connect the C120 directly in the Home app.

Setting it up is the same as connecting any other HomeKit device, and it only takes a few minutes to get it all together. Once you complete all the necessary steps, the C120 will be automatically added to the top of the main control panel.

Every time you open the Home app, it automatically refreshes the dashboard and displays the view's timestamp. When viewing a feed from there, you will only get a snapshot. To access the live feed, you need to touch each camera individually.

Setting up a live stream is simple and puts the focus on what the camera sees. You can zoom in and out to get a closer look at a specific area.

At the bottom is a log of previously recorded moments that were caused by movement that occurred in the activity zone. Records are kept for up to ten days.

There is also a talk button that allows you to talk to anyone in the room through the camera. As with the speaker on the back, this allows for two-way conversations through the C120.

Face recognition allows the Home app to intelligently identify people in your frame. It will link to identified people in the Photos app and use them for identification if they are recorded. However, sometimes it doesn't recognize the person, so you can identify them manually.

Automatic integration is useful for triggering actions when motion is detected. For example, lights may turn on when someone enters the room, or heating may turn on when motion is detected.

While the C120 works great with the Home app, there were some instances where the camera would turn off. We thought it was an issue with the camera itself, but it was online in its native app, so it looks like the problem is caused by HomeKit. However, rebooting the camera via the Eufy Security app seemed to resolve the issue.
