An early iPhone 16 Pro leak shows it could be an early version of its battery, specifically an upgrade over the iPhone 15 .Pro.
The iPhone battery is very important because changes in its capacity result in changes in battery life for its users. This could be good news for the iPhone 16 Pro if the leaked photos turn out to be true.
The footage, posted by @KosutamiSan on X, formerly Twitter, shows a J-shaped battery that is said to be from an “early stage” iPhone 16 Pro. The component is shown with protective plastic on one side, and although it has many printed and engraved markings, some regulatory graphics have not yet been applied to it.
In the accompanying text, the source reports that the component has a capacity of 3355 mAh, or 13.02 Wh, with a limited charging voltage of 4.48 Volts. The capacity is slightly higher than the iPhone 15 Pro, which has a 3,274 mAh capacity, but is still a far cry from the iPhone 15 Pro Max's 4,422 mAh battery.

Since the battery is “early stage”, there is no guarantee that its performance will make it to the 2024 production model. Indeed, the source says that some changes have already been made to the design.
The current battery prototype is said to have replaced the earlier version's glossy finish with a “brushed metallic body” and that it also features a redesigned connector.
