Disney Plus price hike starts December 8th, act fast to avoid it

Disney Plus Highly Advertised Price Increase Coming December 8th — but that does not mean that you should accept this increase if you act quickly.

Currently, Disney+ subscribers pay $7.99 per month to access all of their favorite Disney-owned content. But starting December 8, that price will increase by $3 to $10.99 — almost 30% more.

If you're not too keen on markup, there are three paths you can take.

Switch to Ads

Disney is introducing a new “Disney+ with ads” that will cost the same The $7.99 you're used to.

Sure, you'll have to view ads, but you won't get a bigger bill every month. This is a great package for those who don't need a lot of extras and aren't willing to pay an annual plan.

Buy Disney+ Annual Plan — quick

If you or your family watch a lot of Disney+, now is the time to get your annual Disney+ plan fast. Disney+ is currently $79 per year, which works out to just $6.59 per month — but from December 8, the price will increase.

This is the perfect plan for families with kids who are big fans of Disney and Pixar offerings. Not to mention, Disney is set to release a third season of The Mandalorian in 2023.

Get a Disney Bundle

While it doesn't technically save you money, it does lowers the cost of Disney+ to tie it to other services.

The $19.99/month Disney Bundle includes Ad-Free Disney+, Ad-Free Hulu, and ESPN Plus — which amounts to a savings of almost $16.

The $13.99/month Disney bundle combines ad-free Disney+, Hulu, and ad-supported ESPN Plus for a 25% savings. This plan will increase to $14.99 per month on December 8th.

If you don't mind ads and aren't into sports, you can pair Disney+ with ads and Hulu for $9.99 each. month, saving you $5.98 compared to buying two separately.

Whichever option you choose, you'll want to do it sooner rather than later. The price increase will take effect on December 8, so you should switch a day or two before.
