Blackmagic Design has released an app that improves videography on the iPhone, offering advanced digital film camera controls and a user-friendly interface to make content creation easier.
Blackmagic Camera expands the video shooting experience on iPhone by adding digital film camera controls and an intuitive interface, allowing users to easily adjust settings such as frame rate, shutter angle, white balance and ISO. Users can record 10-bit Apple ProRes files up to 4K resolution, making it easy to collaborate on DaVinci Resolve projects.
The app provides essential features for filmmaking, making it suitable for any content creation. It simplifies control with an interactive interface, offering quick access to important settings such as focus, aspect ratio and more.

The Settings tab opens advanced settings for your phone's camera, including video resolution and recording formats. It also supports anamorphic compression, lens correction settings, professional audio formats, external microphones and 3D LUTs.
Users can easily manage media files with powerful tools for viewing, watching and downloading clips. They can select specific clips to store in Project Libraries or Blackmagic Cloud Storage, and even sync media directly to DaVinci Resolve projects for faster editing.
Blackmagic Camera seamlessly integrates with Blackmagic Cloud Storage, allowing you to instantly download captured videos as proxy files and then the originals from the camera. This speeds up the editing process and improves productivity.
