Apple has unveiled its Black Friday 2022 discounts, and as always, these are worthless gift cards that only apply to subsequent purchases. Here is what is on offer and where you can get the real and best discounts instead.

In line with its new 2022 Holiday Gift Guide, Apple has announced that the Black Friday sale will run from November 25 to 28, 2022. Almost all Apple devices are included in the offers, but not all — and nothing for the iPhone 14.

Note that while buying an Apple Watch SE during this period means getting a $50 Apple gift card, there is no such amount for the Apple Watch Ultra. Not for the Apple Watch Series 8.

Likewise, no gift card is offered with the purchase of an Apple TV 4K, iPad Pro, or Mac Studio. And only the second generation Apple Pencil comes with a gift card.

Wireless carriers are offering aggressive incentives for the iPhone 14 lineup.

Sometimes it's not just about whether you can get any money from an Apple device, but whether you can get a device at all. That, at least, could be the case with the new iPhone 14 lineup as Apple struggles to keep up with demand.

Deals change and change quickly, perhaps especially around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But invariably, third-party companies provide real discounts on Apple hardware, not gift cards for future purchases.
