Boy, Mole, Fox and Horse is a story about kindness, friendship, and courage, coming to Apple TV+ on December 25th.
An animated short film based on the bestselling book of the same name by Charlie McKee. It features the voices of Tom Hollander as the Mole, Idris Elba as the Fox, Gabriel Byrne as the Horse and Jude Coward Nicholl as the Boy.
“Boy, Mole, Fox and Horse” tells the story of a boy's search for a home as he travels with his unexpected companions. It was created with hand-drawn animation based on McKee's illustrative style.
Matthew Freud, Charlie McKee, Kara Speller, J.J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella join forces in this animated performance. Directed by Peter Bainton and McKee, the adaptation is a collaboration with John Crocker.
Former Apple designer Jony Ive serves as executive producer alongside Woody Harrelson. The original score was written by Isobel Waller-Bridge and performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Jeff Alexander.
“Boy, Mole, Fox and Horse” presented in collaboration with the BBC. It premieres first in the UK and then hits Apple TV+ outside the UK on December 25th, around Christmas Day.
Apple TV+ is a streaming service available for $6.99 per month, but a two-month free trial is currently available. Customers can also subscribe at any Apple One subscription package tier.
