The American Film Institute named the Apple TV+ original series Pachinko and Severance as one of the top ten TV programs of the year.
While this may be the most recent recognition from AFI, Apple TV+ has received AFI recognition in the past.
In 2021, “Ted Lasso” and “Schmigadoon!” won the Television Program of the Year award.
The same year, The Tragedy of Macbeth and Oscar-winning film CODA were named AFI's Two Films of the Year.
In November, Apple Original Films premiered its documentary Selena Gomez: My Thoughts and Me at the AFI Fest in Hollywood.
