Apple to phase out all iPad Mini 3 models with cellular and Wi-Fi support in the coming weeks

According to a post sent out earlier today and received by MacRumors, Apple will mark third-generation Wi-Fi-only and cellular iPad mini models as obsolete in a few weeks.

Currently, only the specific ‌iPad mini‌ 3 is marked as deprecated, but this will change soon. Third generation ‌iPad mini‌ retains the same design as its predecessor, but improves performance with the A7 chip and Touch ID home button.

Apple is deprecating products seven years after they last went on sale. All hardware services for legacy products have been discontinued and service providers cannot order parts for legacy devices.
