Apple today released a new update to Safari Technology Preview, an experimental browser first introduced by Apple in March 2016. Apple has developed Safari Technology Preview to test features that may be introduced in future versions of Safari.
Safari Technology Preview Release 160 includes bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector, CSS, Rendering, Web Animation, SVG, Media, JavaScript, WebAssembly, Service Workers, Accessibility, Editing, and Web API.
Current version Safari Technology Preview is version 16.4 and is compatible with computers running macOS Ventura and macOS Monterey.
Safari Technology Preview the update is available through the software update mechanism in System Preferences or System Preferences for anyone who has downloaded the browser. The full update release notes are available on the Safari Technology Preview website.
Apple's goal with Safari Technology Preview is to collect feedback from developers and users about the development process of the browser. Safari technology overview can run side-by-side with the existing Safari browser, and while intended for developers, it does not require a developer account to download.
