Apple is releasing a Rapid Security Response update for iOS 16.2 beta users. Wednesday, November 16, 2022 1:43 PM PST by Eric Slivka. requires a full iOS update. For users running iOS 16.2 beta, Apple today released one of these updates to provide fixes for unspecified bugs affecting the software.
The iOS 16.2(a) security response comes through the standard in-app software update mechanism “Settings”, but a relatively quick update, requiring only a couple of minutes to download and prepare the update, and then a quick restart and installation process.
After installing the update, the system will report the updated version of iOS 16.2. (a) and tapping the version in the “About” section of the settings, you will see information about the installed version of iOS and the Rapid Security Response update, with the option to remove the security update if desired.
