Apple releases new firmware for AirTags

Apple today released a new firmware update for AirTag item trackers. The firmware has build number 2A61, unlike firmware 2A36, which was released in December last year.


It's been almost a year since Apple updated the AirTags firmware, and there's no word yet on what might be included in the update.

It is not possible to force an AirTag update as it is done over-the-air via a connected iPhone.
