Apple Products Make Great Christmas Gifts

Sampling of Christmas shoppers doing Google searches shows Apple products are in high demand across much of the US — but the iPhone is nowhere to be seen.
Researchers analyzed Google Trends data obtained by AppleInsider to find the top-selling items in each state around Christmas this year. Apple products are responsible for a significant number of positions in the list.
MacBook was the top seller in Maryland and Vermont, including the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. Meanwhile, the people of Nebraska want the Apple Watch.

People in seven states searched the iPad the most, the third highest number in the data. The states most searched for iPads include Hawaii, Tennessee, Indiana, and West Virginia.
AirPods were the fourth most popular product in the US. Six states searched more headphones than any other item, including Kansas, Wyoming, North Carolina and Arizona.
Researchers at Rakuten have also studied products from other companies. Most Californians want a Playstation 5, overtaking the iPad in the number of states in which each product is most popular.

On the list of the ten most popular products, the Nintendo Switch ranked second, with ten states searching for it more than any other product, including New Jersey, Oregon, Iowa and Georgia.
Few people want to buy an Oculus headset or a Samsung Galaxy Watch because these products are only found in one state. However, the Apple Watch was only popular in one state.
Maybe it's a good thing the iPhone didn't make the list. The iPhone 14 Pro models are in high demand, and Apple couldn't make enough of them to ship them in time for the holidays.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have not been as popular as the Pro models, so there's still time to order for Christmas. Apple recommends ordering one of these models by December 21st.
